CHIROPRACTIC MANIPULATION
"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will educate his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."
Thomas Edison
Chiropractic is best known for its use of spinal manipulation, also known as the "chiropractic adjustment".
Manipulation is defined as the following:
"Manipulative Therapy involves the application of accurately determined and specifically directed manual forces to the body. The objective is to improve mobility in areas that are restricted whether the restrictions are within the joint, connective tissues or in skeletal muscles. The consequences may be the improvement of posture and locomotion and the relief of pain and discomfort, the improvement of function elsewhere in the body and the enhancement of the sense of well-being."

SPINAL SUBLUXATION
AND
CHIROPRACTIC MANIPULATION
The central nervous system controls every function of the human body. The central nervous system is comprised of the brain, the spinal cord and spinal nerves. The spinal column, consisting of twenty-four (24) individual movable vertebra, protects the central nervous system. Misalignment or malfunctions in the spinal column, referred to as spinal subluxation, can irritate the spinal nerves and cause malfunctions in the internal organs of the human body.
It is not uncommon for people who suffer with back pain to develop other symptoms such as headaches, indigestion, consipation, shortness of breath, irregular heart beat, visual disturbances and irratability.
Correcting spinal subluxations, by way of chiropractic manipulation, will not only relieve a persons back pain, but can also improve these other symptoms.
It has been said that Spinal Manipulation is both an Art, as well as a Science. Dr. Steel has performed over 250,000 spinal manipulations on patients during his twenty-eight (28) year career.
